You Cannot Delegate Entrepreneurship

Said by one of the top business men in America, Joe Sugarman. I had the opportunity to see him speak to a very small crowd and loved the insight of this statement “you cannot delegate entrepreneurship”.

looking at entrepreneurshipThe first thought that came to mind was how many people are looking for someone to take their great idea and make it a success (especially online), and then get angry when the person lets them down.  If this is you then listen up … you are the only one to blame!  I’m not talking about delegating specific tasks of a project, I’m talking about the entire project being handed off to someone to take it to fruition (usually with very little guidance even).

If you have a great idea then you have to lead the pack and make it the success you imagine it to be!  No one else is going to have the buy-in that you do, and why should they?  You’re the one that is going to benefit the most from the success.  But putting that aside, how can anyone else know the visions you have had about the outcome or maybe even the product itself.  You have the fire, run with it …

This is short post, but I felt it had to be said in hope it will spur a reader on to take hold of their dream idea and run with it.  Everything you need to know to market your idea can be learned, just look for quality in your teachers.
