If you have an online store then I hope you’re submitting to “Google Base”.
Within “Google Merchant Center” you can upload your product feeds, which go into Google Base (their product database).
Google actually lets you upload online and offline content and they make it searchable for you. By adding attributes to the content, those who might be searching for your content can find it with a wider array of keywords. Not only can your items be found in Google, but Google Maps too!
Even if you don’t have a web site already, Google Base will provide you with a special url that your visitors can go to see your item – and it’s all free!
If you’re wondering what languages are supported by Google Base – currently it’s English and German.
If you’re looking for more information on how to do this please visit this link for more clarification. Google Base link.
Please note that “Froogle” is Google Products.

I’ve been using Base for quite some time and now have migrated everything over to merchant center due to stability and a cleaner interface. How does Base help out for Maps?
Interesting enough, I received 2 emails from people saying they are now using Google Base after reading this post. Thought I would share.
