Online Reputation Management

You may have a client or your own business that got some bad publicity on the Internet. Unfortunately, the search engines are non bias and show information related to the search no matter how good or bad they may be to you or your business.

What does ORM stand for? Online Reputation Management

Online reputation management combines public relations (PR) and Internet marketing. There is also some search engine optimization included in ORM.

Reputation Management Tools

RepVine – A great source for reference and reputation management.
Naymz – People can write reviews about you or your business.
RapLeaf – Rate other members and they can rate you.

How can reputation management help me?

As many of you know, I write articles based on my own experiences with clients – so how can ORM help you? Only thinking that ORM is needed when someone has posted a negative comment about you online is just part of it. Good idea too Anarasi! I do the same with helping out by answering SEO questions on some of the forums. Did you read Part 2 of this ORM post?

Good article. I have found that getting backlinks while helping people is another good way to build traffic to your site. For example I regularly answer questions on Yahoo on SEO optimization questions and free search engine submission tips. And in return I end up getting good backlinks and people visiting my sites.
