Social Networks vs Television

About hundred years ago no one heard of television and the invention of the TV set was a real blessing for the majority of people. They considered it a miracle and got so addicted to it that they thought Television was the only thing they would need in their lives. And now, tell me please, who has the same opinion? Sure you are right, only those who have little knowledge and notion about the Internet. This giant has swallowed Television like a child swallows some candy (a very typical analogy).

Millions of people worldwide prefer to spend their time chatting in a certain Social Network (or in several ones simultaneously) rather than to sit beside the TV set and watch a cartoon or a film or a program (sounds disappointing for those who invented Television). However this is a fact, it is our reality and no one can deny it. The question almost everyone is concerned with runs as follows – Why is it so?

The influence of television is dying. So we have to define the reasons and prerequisites of such enormous success that the Internet in general and Social Networks in particular possess. Let us consider Twitter.

Expiring Domains Can Hurt Your Ranking

Many of us in the search marketing, SEO, and social media fields, have control of more than one domain. Some will even have 15 or more domains that they are in charge of through work, or domains they personally own.

I’m one of those such people, and have domains expiring at many different times of throughout the year.

I recently noticed a domain was going to be coming up for expiration soon on GoDaddy, my domain registrar (for that specific domain), and thought I had an 8 day grace period in which to renew the domain. Well, it turns out, I really had about 6 hours after 12:00 am to do it.

Google presents a new way to manage your online reputation (I’m assuming on the Google search engine anyway). It’s a new tool in their “Me on the Web” area of your Google dashboard.
