I second what John has said, BrownBook does bring an okay trickle of traffic to my site.

That list is missing an important free local search directory that performs really well in Google searches! http://www.brownbook.net. It’s also global (in 240 countries) and it even has a field for your Twitter account as well as blog, VoIP and IM!
